BLT Prime by David Burke Dinner Date

Washington was our second stop in the US and we had an absolutely great time there!

We loved all the museums which the city has to offer and I was so surprised by the fact that they all had free entry, not only for US citizens but for all tourists! How amazing is that! We are talking about 17 museums with free entry.

Of course, it was also great to see the White House and to go inside the Capitol! Apart from all the sightseeing and museum visits we did, we also managed to enjoy the nightlife in Washington DC. More specifically the amazing restaurants that the city has to offer!

The first night of our trip to Washington we went for dinner to the amazing steak restaurant BLT Prime by David Burke!

We started off the night with some of their famous scone bread, which was the best bread I have ever tried. Once you break it, the steam comes off, so when you put the butter on it melts completely! It was so simple and so delicious!

For starter, we had oysters with cheese and a lobster salad, which I loved a lot, but what we have really came for was something quite different! So, it was time to find out if the rumours were true and the steak here was really that amazing!

I love salty food, so it did not take me long to decide which steak to try! I went for the Kansas City steak which was salt aged for 45 days! After having this steak I can confirm that the rumours were true! It was absolutely delicious! Extremely soft and with an amazing taste.

To finish off the night we had champagne and a delicious chocolate dessert! What I also loved about the restaurant was it location. Situated in the Trump International Hotel, the BLT restaurant has one of the best decors I have seen! The lobby of the hotel is super stylish and I loved the dark blue plush sofas and the crystal chandeliers.
