I am sure you have seen my post about Provence already, but couldn´t manage to post everything we did there in one post, so today I am going to tell you the ´´rest of the story!´´ As I said before, we spend most of the time at Les Baux-de-Provence, a beautiful natural park area.
It was our first time in this area and what really astonished us was the beautiful nature of course, but also the amazing boutique hotels.
I found it extremely peaceful to visit a place where you are only surrounded by nature and there are barely any buildings.
The hotel where we spend our first night – Hameau des Baux was the oldest in the area and I absolutely loved its design. In general, most hotels in the area are situated on a huge estate, full of olive trees, so you can have a very peaceful walk around. Perfect for relaxation. They also have outdoor swimming pools, so I am sure it is a perfect place to visit in the summer.
Another typical thing for the hotels in the area is their gourmet restaurant, serving typical french food in a very elaborate way. The food there was indeed delicious.
The hotel was renovated about 12 years ago, and its interior design was completely changed. Now it is a very modern/arty space with which I felt completely in love!
We stayed in one of their suits and the bedroom was a complete masterpiece! The bed looked like a bed from someone’s castle and the bathroom, which was just behind the bed wall, was absolutely beautiful! Check it out for yourself:
What I also loved was the private garden that comes with the suit. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to get some sun on the days we visited, so we had the chance to enjoy our breakfast in our private garden!
If you are planning to visit the region and would like to find out what else we did there, head to my previous blog post!
