Lime Inspiration

Summer for me has always been about the bright colours! I absolutely adore them!

They make one’s look so much more vibrant and combined with the sunny summer days, bring happiness without any effort.

My inspiration this week came from the lime color and more specifically this amazing lime dress.

What I like so much about the dress is the movement at the front! The design can take you effortlessly from day to evening and is also so different from the usual pencil dresses you see every day on the high street.

The soft cowl neckline, grown on sleeve and gentle pleats drapes around the waist into a very elegant pencil skirt silhouette. You can combine it with wedges for a more daily look, or a pair of pointy heels (as I did) for a more sophisticated one.

I have always been an admirer of the lime color. Mainly because it inspires youthfulness, naivety and playfulness. It is also known for its ability to create a feeling of anticipation and to help clear the mind of negativity.

People often feel intimidated by such bright colors and that’s why some prefer to stick to the more comfortable dark color palette. But don’t forget that these are the colors you wear all winter..So why try something new? Summer is the time to be spontaneous and experimental, so what could be better than trying a new look on? It’s known that dark colors always attract the heat, so here is another practical reason why you should try to wear clothes in brighter colors during the summer!
