Hello from Brooklyn,
The second part of my NY stay I spent in Brooklyn at the Williamsburg Hotel, which was a great way to explore new areas apart from Manhattan.
As the name suggests, the hotel is situated in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and is surrounded by cool coffee places and art galleries. As an ex-Londoner I would compare it to the super cool hipster area ofShoreditch. The atmosphere there is completely different from the one in Manhattan and I loved the chance of exploring another part of New York.
Similar to Shoreditch, Williamsburg was an industrial neighbourhood. Today it’s a bustling community full of creatives, dreamers, and doers meeting for a drink and making things happen. Located on Wythe Avenue and North 10th Street, the Williamsburg Hotel stands at the nexus of history and history in the making. The vibes surrounding it are just great and the vintage markets you can find there on the weekend are a must see. The hotel has one of the best locations in Brooklyn, however, if you want to get to Manhattan you can be there in less than 10, which is just too convenient.
The Williamsburg Hotel is eight stories and 150 rooms encased in brick, glass, and Corten steel. Designed by London-based design firm Michaelis Boyd Studio. The double-height ceilings, natural finishes and eclectic style create one of the coolest vibes I have ever seen in a hotel. No surprise it was awarded a Star Diamond Award! It is an inspiring boutique hotel that is certainly worth the visit if you are in NYC. The parties they run on the rooftop are also great and I am sure you have seen them on my Instagram story.
I love what the Williamsburg hotel stands for – supreme service with a Brooklyn twist. The design of the rooms is so cool and the views from each one of them are absolutely stunning. The bath with the blue tales is my absolute fav part of the room, this turquoise colour is so obsessive, don´t you think!
Love,
