Sunday Roast at Barbecoa St Paul´s

A week ago I visited one of my favorite steak places in London – Barbecoa!

I am a huge fan of Jamie Oliver and his work. I am sure you have heard of him too, after all, he is one of the world’s best-loved celebrity chefs, as well as a respected entrepreneur and food activist.

all his restaurants, but Barbecoa at St Paul´s is my favorite out of them all! There are a couple of reasons why, but mainly the combination of delicious food and an amazing view over St Paul´s Catedral.

I visited Barbecoa for lunch on Sunday, as on that day they have a special menu offering Sunday roasts, one of my favourite British dishes!

As a meat lover, Barbecoa is one of my top choices in London, as it offers beautiful slow-cooked, dry-aged meat, amazing cocktails, great wine, and all that is combined with an amazing view!

All their meat is cooked over smoke and fire, which gives it a very specific taste. As Jamie Oliver says: ´´The Barbecoa kitchen is a chef’s dream come true. It’s like an Aladdin’s cave filled with equipment that no one else in London has – robatas, Argentinian grills, wood-fired ovens, Texas pit smokers and a tandoor oven – used with fruit woods like apple oak and cherry to give our food incredible flavours´´.

So when at Barbecoa, make sure to order the meat dishes, and more specifically the beef! For starters, we had crispy calamari and crab toast, they were nice, but they once again confirmed that the meat is what really is the specialty of this place.

As I mentioned before, we went to Barbecoa for the Sunday roast, so it is very clear what we had for our main! We ordered two roast menus, one with Dry-Aged Beef and one with Creedy Carver Chicken. The dishes were massive and we didn´t really need any sides, but it was impossible to stop the food lover inside me from ordering a couple! I certainly did not regret my decision, well, until I had to leave the restaurant, but was too full to move!

That was not a problem though, as we had bottomless champagne with the lunch, so stayed for a little longer after the meal, just relaxing with a glass of rose champagne and enjoying the beautiful view.

As I said, I did not regret ordering the sides! My absolute fav one is the mac & cheese, but you also have to try the Broccoli when you visit Barbecoa! I am not a big fan of broccoli, but the way it is prepared at Barbecoa can make you love this side it for sure! Of course, there was no way that I leave the place without a dessert, so we had a platter with the most popular desserts at Barbecoa! The one that you have to try 100% is the Snickersphere! It is absolutely delicious!

Now that you have read my Barbecoa Sunday Roast story, you can scroll down and enjoy the pictures I took there! Try not to get too hungry when you do that, but in case it is impossible you can go to Barbecoa website and book your own visit!
